Frank E Morin Jr.
Frank E Morin Jr., 88, of Terre Haute, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at 5 a.m., in his residence. He was born June 3, 1921, to Frank and Estella (Johnson) Morin.
Survivors include his wife, Helen (Meehan) Morin, whom he married Sept. 18, 1940; daughters, Sharon Reynolds of Terre Haute, Nancy Jackson and husband Phillip of Merrillville, and Rosemary Milner and husband Bill of Terre Haute; seven grandchildren, Lori Usher and husband Scott of Merrillville, Frank Reynolds and wife Heather, and Scottie Reynolds, all of Florida, Carrie Chiado and husband Greg, Bill Milner and wife Lisa, Jarrod Milner, and Nicholas Reynolds, all of Terre Haute; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents; a son-in-law, Tom Reynolds; four sisters, Marguerite Egan, Helen Gilbert, Lucille Howerton and Mary Smith; three brothers, Herbert Morin, Edward Morin and Joseph Morin; and a half brother, Vernal Morin.
Frank served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by MAB Paints (formerly Smith-Alsop), from where he retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed yard work, home improvement and electrical projects.
Mass of Christian burial is 1 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Darvin Winters officiating. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Military graveside tribute will be provided by Wayne Newton Post 346 American Legion.
The family suggests donations may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, or Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A very special thanks for all the tender loving care given by his favorite hospice nurse, Loretta, and his "bath lady", Yvonne. Both could always make him laugh.
