Ida Jenkins
CLINTON — Ida Jenkins, 71, of Clinton, died at 11:07 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Union Hospital in Clinton. She was born Dec. 2, 1937, in Clinton, to Ben Hollingsworth and Esther Wallace-Hollingsworth. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include daughters, Helen Bennett and husband Eddie of Universal, Pam Clevenger and husband Dennis of Terre Haute, and Tracy Jenkins of Clinton; a son, Robert Hodge of Terre Haute; 11 grandchildren, Eddie Bennett, Lacee Devins, Kacee Salmon, Bambi Beverly, Shawn Beverly, Ashley Beverly, Robert Hodge Jr., Jesse Hodge, Chris DelCampo, Shainia Conforti, and Joel Conforti; 13 great-grandchildren, Kaylee Irelan, Kara and Blake Salmon, Tori Linnenkamp, Caeden and Chase Bennett, Aliyah Givens, Desarai Givens, Nherika Givens, Malik Givens, Eli Beverly, Brooklyn Conforti, and Lilly Conforti; two brothers, James Hollingsworth and wife Leotta of Davenport, Wash., and Bennie Hollingsworth and wife Georgetta of Clinton; three sisters, Bonnie Turchi of Universal, Linda Anderson and husband Max of Spencer, and Lois Hollingsworth of Terre Haute; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jeanne Fellows
She was a member of Assembly of God Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both in Clinton.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Giovanini Funeral Home, 408 Vine St., with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Private burial is scheduled. Visitation is 10 a.m. until services Friday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Old National Bank in memory of Ida Hollingsworth-Jenkins.
