Marie Baker McKay
FAIRVIEW PARK — Marie Baker McKay, 94, of Fairview Park, passed away at 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, in her residence. She was born Aug. 22, 1915, in Clinton, to Ernest Hedges and Molly K. Kelly Hedges. She was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton. She was preceded by her parents; her first husband, Charlie Baker; and her second husband, Tom McKay; her son, Dr. Charles Baker; and three brothers, Raymond Hedges, James Haskel Hedges and Homer V. Hedges.
She is survived by her children, Ken Baker and wife Kay of Surprise, Ariz., Rick Baker and wife Teresa of Fairview Park, and special son, Arthur Acres of Northridge, Calif. She is the grandmother of Stephen (Amy) Baker, Jason (Angela) Baker, Richard (Denise) Baker II, Mark (companion Candy Platt) Baker; stepdaughters, Cathy (Bill) Faulstich of Danville, Ill., and Tomi (Dwayne) Perry; stepgrandchildren, Laura (Shad) Etchason, Julie Robinson, Mary Beth (Theo) von Wijk, Shane Frink, Andy Frink and Lisa Vandevender; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Rosetta Hedges.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Roselawn Memorial Park’s Chapel of Memories, in Terre Haute, with the Rev. Don Rissler officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Terre Haute. There is no visitation. Frist Funeral Home, in Clinton, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice of Terre Haute, 4624 S. Springhill Junction, Terre Haute, IN 47802; or Clinton First Baptist Church.
