Rosetta A. Turner
ROSEDALE — Rosetta A. Turner, 93, of Rosedale, died at 12:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born Nov. 5, 1914, in Carbon, to Earl M. James and Della Daugherty-James. She was a homemaker, and cook for many years at Giuseppe’s Restaurant in Clinton. Her husband, Paul K. Turner, whom she married Nov. 23, 1934, preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include a son, James L. Turner of Rosedale; grandchildren, Lisa Wilson and husband Shawn of Terre Haute, Adele Fossi and husband Ernie, and Michael Giovanini and wife Sue, all of Clinton; three great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She also was preceded in death by a brother, John W. James.
She was a member of Rosedale United Methodist Church, Shakespeare Club, Home Economics Club for more than 60 years.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Karanovich-Giovanini Funeral Home, 408 Vine St., in Clinton, with the Rev. John O’Neal officiating. Burial is at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute. Visitation is 1 p.m. until services Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to VistaCare Hospice.
