Margaret Grace Johnson

Margaret Grace Johnson, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, in the Royal Oaks Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 17, 1929, in Terre Haute, the daughter of William Dean and Lelah Snedecker Dean. She married Albert G. Johnson and he preceded her. She was a seamstress working for several businesses.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Bruce and husband Guy; two sons, Guy Johnson and wife Linda and David Johnson, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Dawn Vasquez and husband David and Scott Bruce and wife Amy, all of Terre Haute, Mandy Ward and husband Chris of Taylorsville, Ky., Adam Grimes and wife Jessica and Bryan Grimes, all of Terre Haute, Amy Head, Jamie Johnson, and Darrell Johnson Jr., all of Louisville, Ky., and Logan Johnson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, William Dean; and son, Darrell Johnson.

Her hobbies included bowling, reading, listening to music and watching the Sci-fi channel.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home, 2200 N. 13th Street, with the Rev. Abe Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
