John Howard Norris, 66, of Terre Haute, died Friday, July 4, 2008. He was born March 26, 1942, in Hymera, to Parker Norris and Edith Clark Norris. He had formerly worked at J.I. Case in Terre Haute and had recently been working at NFI as a driver.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Carlinda Harvey Norris; a daughter, Ronda Harvey of Terre Haute and daughter number two, Kendra Bratcher of Terre Haute; and one granddaughter, Morgan Sanders.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Clark Allen Norris.
He was a Master Mason and Past-Master of Hymera Lodge 588 Free & Accepted Mason, Past Monarch of Kerman Grotto, Swords of Bunker Hill, Son's of the American Legion, Fraternal Order of Police, Veterans of Foreign Wars, North American Hunter Club, Buckmaster's, N.R.A., Harley Owners Group, A.B.A.T.E. of Indiana, A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois, and Wabash Valley Motorcycle Club.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with Ralph Davis officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. The family has suggested that if friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either, Terre Haute Humane Shelter or St. Ann Clinic.
