Wanda Elnore Callahan
Wanda Elnore Callahan, 94, of Terre Haute, died Wednesday morning, July 2, 2008, in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was retired from Quaker Maid, Inc. She was born Jan. 24, 1914, in Odon, Ind., to Lawrence E. Callahan and Sada R. Chandler Callahan.
Survivors include two nephews, Mike Wadsworth and his wife Molly and Larry Callahan and his wife Lisa; two nieces, Patricia Wadsworth Nation and her husband Van and Colleen Callahan Walsh; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lawrence E. Callahan; and two sisters, Helen C. Wadsworth and Elizabeth Callahan Willis-Hughes.
Wanda loved to travel, and was a longtime member of Hulman Street Wesleyan Church, where she taught Sunday School.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with the Rev. Curtis Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled prior to services today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
