Anna Evadine Todd Nelson, 94, of West Terre Haute, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008, in her residence. She was born Jan. 24, 1914, in Sandford, the daughter of Fred Clay Todd and Jesse Ann Vermillion Todd. She married Elmer C. Nelson on Jan. 28, 1936, and he preceded her. Known to her friends and family by her middle name, Evadine, she was a homemaker and also had worked as department store manager for Montgomery Ward for over 18 years. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Survivors include her three children, Sandra Delaunois of West Terre Haute, Ronald T. Nelson of Fort Smith, Ark., and Beverly J. Baum of West Terre Haute; nine grandchildren, Kathy Pipis and husband Pat of Roseville, Calif., Doug Delaunois and wife Gina of Paris, Ill., Jeff Nelson and wife Kelly of Eudora, Kan., Chris Nelson and wife Dana of Greenwood, Brad Nelson and wife Melody of Terre Haute, Eric Nelson and wife Mindy of Ottowa, Kan., Von L. Baum Jr. and wife Trina of Porter, Angela Johnson and husband Tom of Gaithersburg, Md., and Kevin Baum and wife Eugenie of Carmel; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters; a half brother, and one grandchild.
Private family services are scheduled. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home, 2200 N. Thirteen Street.
