Robert “Bob” Wayne Loehmann, 67, of Terre Haute, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 30, 2009, at Union Hospital. He was born July 25, 1941, in Terre Haute, to William B. Loehmann and Fawny E. (Dierdorf) Loehmann. He was a resident at Royal Oaks Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. In earlier years he worked as a pressman for Woodburn Printing Co. After Woodburn closed, he then went on to work as a pressman at IVY Hill, where he retired after 26 years.
Bob loved woodworking, and was a show truck enthusiast. He was a member of Free & Accepted Masons, Scottish Rite Temple 900, and of the local graphics union. He was a former member of Love Outreach Christian Church in Crawfordsville, until he moved.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joanne (Steinbrenner) Loehmann, whom he married Jan. 5, 1962; a son, Steve Loehmann of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Hallee Loehmann, Bayliegh Loehmann, and Steven Loehmann; a brother-in-law, John Steinbrenner and wife Sharon of Hillsdale; a brother of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Services are 1 p.m. today at Thomas Funeral Home, 2200 N. 13th St., with the Rev. Larry Spear officiating. Burial is in Oak Hill Cemetery in Riley. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services today. Donations in Bob’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
