— Francis M. Boyd, 70, of Terre Haute died at 1:24 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Union Hospital. She was born on Aug. 1, 1937, in Sacramento, Ky., to Estel and Mary Ellis Jones. She was a waitress at Tony’s Cafe in Youngstown.
She is survived by a daughter, Nuggie Babb and her husband Tony; a brother, Omer Jones; two sisters, Loreta Gamblin and Joyce Collin; grandchildren, Stephanie Sneddon and husband Zack, Amanda Babb and fiancé Oliver Wood, and Katrina Davis and husband Brian; and her great-grandchildren, Che Babb, Morgan Babb, and Jasmine Wood. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven Whitfield; and a sister, Eyvon Littlepage.
She was avid at crocheting, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
In keeping with her wishes cremation is being handled by DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory. Private family services will be in Kentucky. For those who choose, memorial contributions may be made to the Angel Babies at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, of which she was an active member.
