Agnes Marie Lyon
Agnes Marie Lyon, 84, of Terre Haute died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Harborside Healthcare. She was born in Vigo County on July 11, 1923, to Duncan and Florence Willham Lyon. She was a longtime waitress for the former Black Angus Restaurant.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jane Hughes; and nieces and nephews Charles Brackall, Ella Mae Blackburn, Jerry Lyon, Mary Luttrell, Vera Ann Bear, Agnes Bastion, and John Newby. She has several great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great-nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alex Lyon; two sisters Mae Newby and Betty Brackall; and one nephew, Jim Lyon.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, with Timothy VanWinkle officiating. DeBaun Springhill Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
