Loretta E. Newhart

— Loretta E. Newhart, 83, of Terre Haute, died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Southwood Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Romulus, Mich., to Alexander and Garnet Keeto Davie. She retired in 1985 from CBS. On Nov. 25, 1946, she married Robert B. Newhart, and he survives.
She also is survived by one son, R. Michael Newhart; one daughter, Cheryl Newhart; one sister, Margaret Treadway; one brother, Jerry Davie; grandchildren, Jennifer, Shayne, and Erik; and great-grandchildren, Keira and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation was arranged by DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory. Private entombment will be at Highland Lawn Cemetery. For those who choose, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
