Robert “Bob” Everett
Robert “Bob” Everett, 68, of Coal City, formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008, in his son’s home. He was born May 12, 1940, in Terre Haute, to Orville Everett and Betty Kelley Everett. Bob worked in the warehouse for IMC/Pittman Moore for 25 years and most recently for Indiana Department of Transportation.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Marilyn Hancock Everett of Coal City; a son, Tony Everett and his companion Michelle Hampton of Terre Haute; two daughters, Christie Schroeder and her husband Jeff of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Amy Wence and her husband Chris of Terre Haute; his mother; a sister, Nancy Gregory of Terre Haute; six grandchildren, Erica and Chad Everett of Terre Haute, Josh Church and his wife Jenny and Zach Schroeder, all of Murfreesboro, Cody Wence of Terre Haute, and Erin Monk of Sullivan; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jordin, Bryanna, and Nathan; a brother-in-law, Roger Hancock and his wife Rosemary of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother-in-law, Pat Gregory.
Funeral services are 7 p.m. Tuesday in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Brother Mark Grayless officiating. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday prior to services. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 705 Putnam Street, Terre Haute, IN 47802.
