Carolyn Jane Evans
Carolyn Jane Evans, 74, of Terre Haute, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, May 11, 2008, in her son’s residence in Odon. She was born March 6, 1934, in Terre Haute, to Edsel Max Fiscus and Greta L. Hurst Fiscus. She was a retired custodian at Indiana State University.
Survivors include her three daughters, Marcie Randall and Cindy Lingbeck, both of Indianapolis, and Melissa LaLoux of Terre Haute; four sons, James R. Evans of Odon, Gary L. Evans of Greencastle, David L. Evans and Max A. Evans, both of Terre Haute; one sister, Beverly Allen of Oblong, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James A. Evans, on Jan. 25, 1987
She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Avenue, with Pastor Merrillyn Smith officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday in the funeral home.
