Pat L. Linneweber James
Pat L. Linneweber James, 66, of Terre Haute, and formerly of Vincennes, died at 5:56 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born on Oct. 29, 1941, in Vincennes, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy Harbin Linneweber. She was a retired legal secretary, having worked for the Hamilton Center and the Vigo County School Corporation. Earlier in her life she was a licensed beautician in Vincennes.
Survivors include her husband, David James, whom she married on Oct. 29. 1976; two sons, Barry James, and Todd James and his companion Bonnie Chandler, all of Terre Haute; a brother, Gerald “Jerry” Linneweber and his wife Becki of Vincennes; a brother-in-law, Sonny Brown; two grandchildren, Jessica James and Lindsey James; a niece, Carey Schoonveld and her husband Justin; and two nephews, Jay Linneweber and his wife Jessica and Shawn Brown; a great-niece, Emma Belle Linneweber; his other in-laws, Anna Craft and husband Terry, Jeri Leonardo of Orlando, Fla., John James and Joe James, both of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Judi Brown.
She was a member of the BPOE 86 and St. Mark’s United Church of Christ.
Memorial services are 7 p.m. Wednesday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, in Terre Haute with the Rev. Mike Higgins officiating. Calling hours are 4 p.m. until services. In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen. For those who choose, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to breast cancer research. Envelopes are available in the funeral home.
