ELDORADO, ILL. —
ELDORADO, Ill. — Betty Jane Choisser, 79, of Eldorado, passed away at 11:15 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2007, in Health South Hospice of Terre Haute, Ind.
On June 30, 1949, she married Dr. Fred G. Choisser, who preceded her in death.
She was born July 5, 1927, in Eldorado, to the late Franklin E. and Opal B. Gates Bramlet.
She worked as a Guidence Counselor at Ridgway High School and was a faculty member of the Adult Continuation Center. She graduated from SIU in June 1949 with a bachelor of science in education and in August 1973 with a master of science in guidence and educational psychology.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Harrisburg. She was a member of The Order of Eastern Star, DAR and Beta Sigma Phi. She was a recipient of the Adult Educator of the year award.
She is survived by, a daughter, Randy Choisser of Terre Haute; two sons Dale Choisser and his wife Vicki of Vandalia, and David Choisser of Eldorado. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jeffery Dale Choisser, Gregory Dale Choisser, Emma Krummel, John Fredrick Townsend, Joseph Patrick Townsend, Monica Marie Choisser; one great-grandchild, Caden David Choisser.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Donald G Bramlet.
Religious Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado, IL, with the Rev. Ann Baither officiating. Visiatation is 5 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Interment is in Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Companion Pet Rescue or Christ Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
