TERRE HAUTE —
The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that Indiana 48 will be closing to repair a railroad crossing in Shelburn.
At about 8 a.m. on Sept. 16, railroad crews will close Indiana 48 from the junction of U.S. 41 to the junction of Indiana 59. Crews will be making repairs to the crossing1⁄2 mile east of U.S. 41. All work is scheduled to be finished by 2 p.m. Sept. 20, weather permitting.
The official detour will route traffic on U.S. 41, Indiana 54 and Indiana 59.
