Bikes for Tykes needs donation

TERRE HAUTE — The Exchange Club of Terre Haute’s 16th annual Bikes for Tykes fundraiser needs donations to assist in providing bikes and helmets to Wabash Valley children.

About $9,500 has been generously donated by Wabash Valley residents, organizations and companies toward the revised goal of 300 bikes or $19,500. But, money is still needed to help make these children’s Christmas brighter. The cost of a bike and helmet is $65.

Donations can be made at any First Financial Bank through Dec. 13. Donations may also be sent directly to the Exchange Club. Contributions need to be payable to the Exchange Club of Terre Haute and mailed to P.O. Box 10113, Terre Haute, IN  47801. For more information, call 812-239-0126.

The National Exchange Club is a service organization with 700 clubs and more than 21,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico that celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2011.
