TERRE HAUTE —
United Way of the Wabash Valley’s Executive Committee met on Tuesday night and accepted the board resignation of Scott Teffeteller. Teffeteller had been tabbed to be the 2013-2014 campaign chair.
In a separate move, the Executive Committee named the United Way of the Wabash Valley’s board of directors and current campaign cabinet volunteers as this year’s leaders of the campaign, the agency said in a press release.
“I join with the Board of Directors of United Way of the Wabash Valley in thanking Scott for his leadership.” B.J. Riley, UWWV board president and Tribune-Star publisher, said. “He has assembled a ‘dream team’ of volunteers who are already working hard for a successful campaign. Scott has been invaluable to the campaign and we appreciate his efforts.”
Troy Fears, executive director of UWWV, echoed that sentiment: “We really appreciate Scott’s past leadership and dedication to United Way. He laid the foundation for us to have a great campaign this fall. Now, it is time for everyone on the United Way team — both staff, board members and other volunteers, to step up and help continue to make our community a better place.”
The official start of the 2013 campaign will take place at United Way’s campaign kickoff event at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 5 at the Indiana Theatre. The overall campaign goal for this year will be announced at that event.
