Troopers respond to calls for service and crashes

---- — Currently, the six-county Putnamville District (Parke, Vermillion, Vigo, Putnam, Clay and Sullivan) is experiencing no traffic related problems. All main roads range from wet to slushy with scattered slick spots. Secondary roadways are mostly slush covered and slick. Interstate 70 is operating at normal traffic flow.

Last evening troopers responded to five property damage crashes and six slide-offs.

Today, troopers have responded to three property damage crashes and three slide-offs. The crashes were one on U.S. 41 South in Vigo County and two on Interstate 70 in Putnam County. The slide-offs were on I-70 and Indiana 63 North in Vigo County.

No injuries have been reported thus far.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, be patient, do not tailgate, and drive for the conditions of the roadway.
