TERRE HAUTE — Randy Gentry, chairman of the Vigo County Republican Party, has appointed Kara Anderson as the GOP representative on the Vigo County Election Board.

Anderson, the wife of Vigo County Commissioner Brad Anderson, will replace Christopher Dailey.

Dailey told the Election Board last month that he planned to step down to file for an elected office. Dailey said candidates can file up to a year prior to an election. Dailey did not state what office he planned to seek.

A message seeking comment from Dailey was left Wednesday at his Terre Haute law office.

In the 2014 election, the offices of judge for Vigo County Superior Court Division 2 and Division 5 are up for election. Also, county prosecutor, sheriff and four seats on the county council.
