Terre Haute Park Board approves new fees for 2014

TERRE HAUTE — In a special session meeting Wednesday at Fairbanks Park, the Terre Haute Park Board approved resolutions regarding some fee changes for 2014.

The Halloween train ride and hay ride at Deming Park on the city’s east side, which cost $2 each, will increase to $3 for next year’s Halloween season. Superintendent Eddie Bird said the rates have not increased for several years, and next year’s increase is o help offset the cost for staffing and maintenance.

The Park Board also voted to lower the 2014 fees for golf outings at Hulman Links Golf Course, located at 990 N. Chamberlain St. It is an effort to make Hulman Links golf outings more competitive, Dave Kennedy, golf operation manager at Hulman Links and Rae Park Golf Course, told the board.

The 2014 golf outing fees that the board approved are:

Mondays: $2,500 (down from $3,700)

Tuesdays through Thursdays: $3,000 (down from $3,700)

Friday through Sunday: $3,500 (down from $4,200)
