Clay County accident sends two men to hospital

BRAZIL — Two Wabash Valley men were hospitalized Tuesday after a crash in Clay County. The Clay County Sheriff’s Department, in a news release, stated Christopher A. Golden, 19, of Center Point was traveling west on County Road 100 S when he failed to yield the right of way to a north-bound vehicle driven by Jeremy J. Elliott, 21, of Linton. The vehicles collided and Golden was taken by helicopter ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with unknown injuries. A passenger in Golden’s car, Michael L. Fry, 40, also of Center Point, also received unknown injuries and was taken to St. Vincent Clay Hospital by Trans-Care ambulance. Elliott was treated and released at the scene. Assisting the Clay County Sheriff’s Department were LifeLine, Trans-Care, Clay County Search and Rescue, Center Point Volunteer Fire, Hoosier Towing and Poor Boy’s Towing.
