TERRE HAUTE — A Terre Haute man accused of robbing a convenience store will return to court Thursday for a bond-reduction hearing.

Michael Herman, 26, appeared in Vigo Superior Court 3 on Monday on a charge of robbery for the holdup of the Jiffy Mini-Mart at 25th Street and Eighth Avenue on Feb. 19.

Detective Jeff Trotter of the Terre Haute Police Department told the Tribune-Star that Herman is also suspected of two other robberies of the same business last year.

Herman has been appointed a public defender, and his request for a speedy trial was taken under consideration until his hearing on Thursday.
