TERRE HAUTE —
A Terre Haute man was arrested Monday after Indiana State Police found methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia in his hotel room.
Mark Hoiseth, 46, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, a D felony; possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance - psilocybin mushrooms, a D felony; possession of marijuana (under 30 grams), an A misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, an A misdemeanor.
State Troopers Brent Robinson and Mike Wood, assigned to the Putnamville District Meth Lab Enforcement Team, report finding a half gram of methamphetamine and six grams of “magic mushrooms” or psilocybin and less than 30 grams of marijuana in a hotel room of the Econo Lodge on Margaret Avenue.
Police received a tip of possible drug activity from the room, reports ISP Sgt. Joe Watts. The Terre Haute Police Department assisted in the investigation.
“Citizens are strongly urged to continue calling the Putnamville Post at 765-653-4114 with tips related to possible drug related activity. Callers can remain anonymous,” Watts said.
Hoiseth is being held in the Vigo County Jail on $5,000 bail. He is a scheduled to appear in Vigo County Superior Court Division 1 on May10
