Activity Fair is Saturday at park


TERRE HAUTE — Are you looking for fun, afterschool and summer activities for your kids? You can review options a the Greater Terre Haute Afterschool Network Camps and Activities Fair from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Vigo County YMCA at Fairbanks Park, according to a press release.

The fair is free and open to all.

Representatives from several local organizations — including the Terre Haute Children’s Museum, YMCA, JunioR Police Academy, Vigo County Public Library, Ivy Tech of the Wabash Valley, Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, Lemonade Day, Chances And Services for Youth, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and eBash — will be on hand to help families get an early start on summer planning for their children. They will also share information about scholarships available for some programs.

The Camps and Activities Fair also will highlight programs that take place after school, on weekends and throughout the year.

The Camps and Activities Fair is being conducted at Fairbanks Park in conjunction with the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day and Steve Weatherford’s “Rush the Punter” 5K for the United Way of the Wabash Valley.
