MARSHALL, Ill. —
A single-vehicle crash early Monday on Interstate 70 in Illinois sent four people to a Terre Haute hospital.
The Illinois State Police reported that Kevin R. Foreman, 46, of Leesport, Pa., fell asleep at the wheel about 5 a.m. central time on I-70 east-bound near Marshall. His vehicle, a Saab station wagon, drifted off the roadway, he overcorrected and drove into a ditch where his vehicle overturned. It came to rest upright, according to police.
Four passengers in the vehicle, all of Leesport, Pa., received injuries and were transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment. Those transported range in age from 8 to 42 and all were wearing their seat belts, Illinois State Police reported.
The driver, Foreman, received minor injuries. The crash took place about one mile east of Marshall.
