Illinois man arrested after displaying gun on I-70

TERRE HAUTE — A tip about a man allegedly pointing or displaying a handgun toward other motorists in the construction area of the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Vigo County resulted in the arrest of an Illinois man Friday, according to a news release from the Indiana State Police.

Harry J. Walker, 53, of Highland, Ill., was taken into custody after police found him in possession of a Glock 9 millimeter handgun without a legal permit during a traffic stop investigation near mile marker 11.

Walker was charged with Possession of a Handgun without a Permit, a Class A Misdemeanor, and was transported to the Vigo County Jail, according to the release.
