ISP plans weekend sobriety checkpoint

The Tribune-Star

TERRE HAUTE — A sobriety checkpoint is scheduled for next weekend in Vigo County by troopers from the Putnamville Post of the Indiana State Police, according to an ISP press release.

The checkpoint is in conjunction with Operation Pull Over. A specific date, location and time will not be released for the checkpoint.

Motorists who are not impaired can expect a short delay of two to three minutes while they pass through the checkpoint, according to ISP Sgt. Joe Watts.

Anyone wanting to report a suspected impaired, fatigued or dangerous driver can call 911 to report the location and a description of the suspect vehicle.
