MONTEZUMA — The Riverton Parke High School National Honor Society will sponsor a Veterans Day program at 9 a.m. on Monday in the school gymnasium, at 4907 Coxville Road in Montezuma.

First-year NHS sponsor Lyndsey Schriver is hopeful that more veterans from around the area will attend this year’s program. “We want to honor them for their service to our country, so the more we have, the more we can let them know how much we appreciate them. The National Honor Society members are eager to devote such a special program to our local veterans, and they hope to see many in attendance,” Schriver said.

The Riveton Parke band and choir will be involved in the program, and the school will welcome guest speaker Aaron Curtis, a U.S. Army major who has just returned from a tour in Afghanistan.

Shriver can be reached for questions about the program at schriverl@swparke.k12.in.us, or by calling the school at 765-569-2045.
