TERRE HAUTE — Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident Wednesday evening at the intersection of Indiana 46 and Wabash Avenue near Robinwood subdivision.

Terre Haute Police report that the accident occurred at 6:51 p.m. when a northbound 1994 Chevrolet driven by Lee W. Davis, 25, of Marshall, Ill., rear-ended a northbound 1991 Chevrolet driven by Michael P. Galloway, 42, of Terre Haute.

The Galloway vehicle went off the east side of the road into a ditch, but the Davis vehicle continued northbound and struck a westbound 2003 Buick LeSabre that was waiting to turn south onto Indiana 46.

That impact caused the Buick, which was driven by Keith A. Hanson, 15, of Terre Haute, to spin in the road and block westbound traffic.

The Davis vehicle continued off the north side of the intersection and overturned on a road leading to a nearby sports field.

Galloway reported a small cut to his head but declined medical treatment.

A passenger in the Hanson vehicle complained of back and neck pain and was transported to Union Hospital for treatment.
