Health organization to screen ‘Weight of Nation’ series

TERRE HAUTE — The Minority Health Coalition of Vigo County Inc. is presenting the award-winning HBO documentary, “The Weight of the Nation.”

The documentary will be viewed as a four-part series, with each segment followed by discussion, presentations and question and answers.

The program will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. every Monday in March in the large conference rooms upstairs at the Booker T. Washington Park Community Center, at 13th Street and College Avenue.

Information will be given on various types of physical activities, nutrition and eating habits.

MHCVC will also be providing health screenings for blood pressure, glucose and body mass index.

Healthful refreshments will be served at each of these programs, which are free and open to the public.
