Meeting set to discuss Vigo County move to voting centers

TERRE HAUTE — The first public meeting for discussion of vote centers in Vigo County is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Vigo County Annex at First and Cherry Streets.

The Vigo County Election Board will stage the meeting to discuss the move to vote centers, which would eliminate voting in precincts. In place of precinct sites, voters could cast ballots anywhere in the county in one of at least 18 vote centers.
