Fun walk/run to promote diabetes awareness

WEST TERRE HAUTE — A 1 mile fun walk/run today at Sugar Creek Consolidated school is being held to promote awareness and education about diabetes. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the walk/race starting at 10 a.m.

Diabetes is a disease that affect how your body uses blood glucose, commonly called blood sugar. Experts will be on hand Saturday to promote understanding about symptoms, treatment and more.

Sugar Creek Consolidated is at 4226 W. Old U.S. 40 in West Terre Haute.
