PARIS, IL —
An unoccupied house fire had first responders busy outside Paris, Ill., into Thursday evening.
Dispatchers at the Edgar County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the fire, which occurred on East 1300th Road, about three miles east of Paris, resulted in no injuries, as the two-story structure was vacant.
The call reportedly came in to dispatchers at 5:23 p.m. Central Time, at which point the structure was described as “fully engulfed,” personnel said.
Responders from multiple departments, including from Vigo County, assisted in the blaze, which was still being worked Thursday evening and remained under investigation.
