Still no information being released on Rosedale homicide

ROSEDALE — No new information was being released Monday afternoon concerning a Rosedale homicide.

Chief Deputy Bill Todd of the Parke County Sheriff’s Department told the Tribune-Star that an identification had not yet been confirmed for the victim, who police stated Friday is a woman who lived in the 2900 block of West Rose Hill Lane west of Rosedale.

Todd said a family member was en route to confirm the woman’s identity.

A suspect in the slaying is being detained in Georgia, Todd confirmed, but local authorities are waiting to see if the man will waive extradition to return to Indiana.

“We have nothing to release at this point,” Todd said.

A spokesperson at the Parke County Prosecutor’s office said that no information about the case would be released Monday.
