Sullivan-Vigo Rural Water to shut main line temporarily

The Tribune-Star

SULLIVAN — Sullivan-Vigo Rural Water Corp. plans to shut down its main line on U.S. 41 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today for maintenance and upgrades, the utility said in a press release Tuesday.

Customers serviced from the water main on U.S. 41 will be without water for several hours. The outage also will affect Eagle Ridge and the west side of the highway as well as the east, according to the company.

Even customers not directly affected by the line maintenance may experience low pressure during the time the line is shut down.

All customers directly affected by the shut off will be under a 48-hour boil order after service is restored, the utility said.
