TERRE HAUTE —
The Illinois State Police report a three-vehicle accident that sent two men to area hospitals early Sunday.
The crash took place about 8:30 a.m. Central Standard Time on Interstate 70 in Clark County, the ISP reported.
Two semitrailers were in the right-hand lane traveling slowly because of road and traffic conditions when a third semitrailer, driven by Zachary A. Crow, 23, of Lamar, Mo., crashed into the rear of the first truck, which then crashed into yet another semitrailer, police said.
Crow, who was taken to Union Hospital for treatment of injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions, the ISP reported. A passenger in Crow’s semitrailer also received injuries and was transported to an Illinois hospital.
