Five arrested Tuesday afternoon on drug charges

TERRE HAUTE — Five people arrested on drug charges are scheduled to return to court Monday for filing of formal charges.

Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville District Meth Suppression Team arrested five people at a home in the 1100 block of Buckeye Street in Terre Haute on Tuesday afternoon.

Arrested on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors, possession of paraphernalia, illegal dumping of controlled waste and maintaining a common nuisance were 44-year-old Donald L. Ring II; 40-year-old Tammy Zimmer; 40-year-old Jennifer Lee Kensell; and 37-year-old Ronald Featherston.

Also arrested was Donald L. Ring III, 24, on a charge of possession of paraphernalia.

All five suspects were taken to the Vigo County Jail. Three others at the residence were released under the supervision of Child Protective Services of Vigo County.

Police responded to the home to investigate a report of meth activity, and upon service of a warrant, located items related to the manufacture and use of methamphetamine.
