Incumbent Skinner files for re-election in 38th Senate District

Candidates seek district, county party nominations

TERRE HAUTE — Wabash Valley candidates who have filed with the Indiana Secretary of State for the May primary election include Democrat Tim Skinner, who is seeking re-election for Indiana’s 38th Senate District. Republican John Ford also has filed for the primary in the 38th.

Democrat Clyde Kersey is seeking re-election to Indiana’s 43rd House District.

In House District 46, incumbent Bob Heaton is seeking the GOP nomination to that seat in the primary. Democrat Jim Mann II is seeking the Democratic Party nomination in the 46th.

Republican John M. Waterman, the incumbent, is seeking re-election to Indiana’s 39th Senate District. Also running in the Republican primary in District 39 will be Eric Bassler.

Republican Alan Morrison, the incumbent, is seeking his party’s nomination for the 42nd House District.

Democrats John A. Kesler II and Lakshmi (Lucky) Reddy are seeking their party’s nomination to run for Superior Court Judge Division 2 in Vigo County. Republican Christopher Dailey is seeking his party’s nomination to the same court in Vigo County.

In Sullivan County, Democrat John R. Springer is seeking the nomination for prosecutor, and in Vermillion County Democrat Bruce D. Aukerman is seeking the prosecutor’s race nomination.

In Vigo County, incumbent Terry Modesitt, a Republican, has filed for his party’s nomination.

Candidates have until Feb. 7 to file for the May 6 primary.
