Pray for America Bus coming to Terre Haute on Friday

TERRE HAUTE — The Pray for America Bus Tour is scheduled to stop in Terre Haute at 6 p.m. Friday at Maryland Community Church.

The program includes a special prayer rally for America. People of all ages are invited to attend.

Sponsored by the National Day of Prayer Task Force, the Pray for America Bus Tour began during America’s National Day Prayer observance on May 2. It is visiting 37 states.

The specially decorated bus features a team of authors and speakers that seeks to inspire prayer for the nation. Each stop features a rally atmosphere, with tents and tables containing resources and the chance to engage with others in prayer.

In addition, the bus team meets with governors, mayors, pastors and churches, praying for them and their communities.

David Butts, Terre Haute resident and president of Harvest Prayer Ministries, will also be at Maryland Community Church during the bus visit to engage people in learning about prayer, and opportunities to get involved in the National Day of Prayer events in their communities. Butts is the chairman of the board of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, which sponsors the tour.
