After further investigation into a Thursday night crash in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the Lieber State Recreation Area exit, Indiana State Police were able to determine that Pamela S. Goedde, 57, of Evansville had a blood-alcohol level of 0.24 percent.
Goedde was operating a black 2004 Honda Accord that was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-70 and struck a tractor-trailer head-on near the 36 mile marker. Goedde was admitted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
The crash took place about 8:20 p.m. and the eastbound lanes of I-70 remained closed to traffic until 10:30 p.m. East-bound traffic was diverted to U.S. 40 as emergency responders worked at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and alcohol-related charges could come in Putnam County court at a later date.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
