United Way setting up advisory group for fund reviews

----

TERRE HAUTE — United Way of the Wabash Valley is looking for volunteers to help evaluate how best to distribute campaign donor dollars, according to a press release.

Volunteers would serve as members of review teams during the 2014 agency program funding review process, taking place in early January through mid-February. During that period, volunteers would meet five or six times, usually for two hours per session. All meetings are held in the early evening. Some extra time would also be necessary to visit agencies and their health and human service programs.

All United Way donors are eligible to serve on the review teams, which make recommendations on monetary distributions to more than 60 health and human service programs of the United Way partner agencies.

United Way of the Wabash Valley’s partner agencies and their health and human service programs cover six counties of the Wabash Valley: Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo in Indiana and Clark in Illinois.
