TERRE HAUTE —
Schroeder’s Lawn & Landscaping Inc. on Tuesday was awarded another yearly contract to mow property for the county’s industrial parks south of Terre Haute.
The company’s pricing remains the same in 2014 as it was in 2013 and 2012, Steve Witt, president of the Terre Haute Economic Development Corp., told members of the Vigo County Redevelopment Commission. The commission overseas the Vigo County Industrial Park I and II, which includes property formerly owned by Pfizer Inc.
“We consider mowing as much as a marketing tool as anything, as a nice landscaping helps to sell the industrial park and former Pfizer property,” Witt said.
The county is charged $395 for mowing and spraying on the Industrial Park II land, formerly Pfizer, and $930 for mowing and spraying Industrial Park I property, Witt said. The county has the parks mowed twice a month, but only spayed about twice a year, Witt said.
