Operating out of the former Harley Davidson dealership at 1616 Wabash Ave., Hamilton Centers officials are ready to kick into gear a new fundraising idea – a motorcycle show.
“We’re hoping for at least 50 [motorcycles], but the more the better,” Mary Ann Clark, Executive Director of Spectrum Services, said at Tuesday evening’s board meeting.
The inaugural “2 Wheels 4 Tomorrow” motorcycle show is planned for Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until noon and the public is welcome to attend.
“It’s basically to raise money for our Spectrum Services,” explained Shelly Shearer, director of marketing, noting that the Hamilton Center is one of the only facilities in Indiana to provide rehabilitative services for the intellectually challenged, as well as physically disabled.
The event is open to all brands and styles of motorcycles and sponsors will be provided booth space.
Sponsorships range from $100 to $500, and all donations are tax deductible, according to information provided by Shearer.
