Enrollment at Vincennes University up 5.3 percent

— More students than last year began classes at Vincennes University on Aug. 18, says Kristi Deetz, senior director of VU External Relations.
According to preliminary figures, enrollment is up 5.3 percent on the Vincennes campus and 5.6 percent systemwide. Enrollment at the VU Jasper campus is up 4.7 percent compared with last year.
Among VU’s newest programs, seven baccalaureate programs are proving popular, producing a 53 percent increase in the number of upper classmen pursuing their junior and senior years.
