Beginning today Indiana State Police along with more than 250 other police agencies across Indiana will participate in an Operation Pull Over, “Over the Limit under Arrest” campaign.
The campaign is being sponsored by a federal grant through the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute and with this grant officers will concentrate on impaired drivers.
During this statewide effort, officers will work overtime conducting sobriety checkpoints, roaming on patrol and using other enforcement tools to catch impaired drivers. Officers not only will be looking for impaired drivers in cars but also motor carrier vehicles and motorcycles.
The Terre Haute District comprises Parke, Vermillion, Vigo, Clay and Sullivan counties.
This Operation Pull Over, “Over the Limit under Arrest” campaign continues until Sept. 1.
