Despite recent rumors to the contrary, the Apple Club of Terre Haute restaurant at the Holiday Inn is not closing, said Joyce Burdine, director of sales for the Holiday Inn and SpringHill Suites.
“We’re alive and well,” Burdine said. “The strangest rumors go around town.” Customers have been asking whether the restaurant was closing, she said.
Some renovations are planned for the Holiday Inn, which is owned by General Hotels Corp. of Indianapolis, but there are no plans to close the restaurant, Burdine said.
The Apple Club, which is also owned by General Hotels Corp., opened at the Holiday Inn in 1998 and “we hope to be open for years to come,” Burdine said. The fine dining restaurant specializes in steak, unique side dishes and desserts, according to the General Hotels Corp. Web site.
