The Clay County man accused of the 1988 murders of Brazil residents Tonya Pickett and Ricky Mustard was returned today to the Clay County Justice Center in Brazil, according to a release this afternoon from the Indiana State Police, Terre Haute District.
John Lovett voluntarily turned himself into Indiana State Police Det. Sgt. Troy Stanton at the Clay County jail at about 12:25 p.m. today after Clay Circuit Court Judge Joseph D. Trout issued this morning an order revoking Lovett's bond.
Lovett was originally arrested for the double murders on March 19.
He was released on April 16 after posting 10% of the $200,000 bond.
The new warrant orders the suspect held without bail.
