Fatal accident on Louisville Road

— The Vigo County Sheriff’s Department reports a fatal accident around 1 a.m. Sunday morning on Louisville Road south of Harlan Drive.
The driver, whom police have not yet identified, failed to negotiate a curve while driving south bound on the road, which runs between Riley and Blackhawk in southeast Vigo County. The car left the road and rolled several times, ejecting the driver, police said.
The driver was pronounced dead at Regional Hospital after being transported to the hospital’s emergency room by Transcare.
The accident is still under investigation. In addition to Transcare, the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department and Pierson Township Rescue responded to the scene.
